With palms together,

streetZen is a public practice of Zazen or seated meditation. Zazen allows us to stop and settle down.  As we sit quietly, our relationship to the world changes.  We become more relaxed and more open.  We also become more aware; what Zen Buddhists sometimes refer to as awake.

streetZen is a local effort to bring this practice into the open, to share it with others, and to call attention to issues needing our collective attention. We currently offer three opportunities to sit together, and one to work.

streetZen Meditations for a Peaceful World:

Hunger Witness: Monday Morning Soup Kitchen 9:00 AM

Veteran’s Witness: Monday Evening at Veteran’s Park on Roadrunner at 5:00 PM

Peace Witness: Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 PM at the Federal Building

Earth Witness: Saturday Morning at the Southwest Environmental Center at 9:00 AM

If you would care to join us in the practice, please feel free to do so.

A bow to you,
So Daiho
